Protocol For The boy And The slave
"The purpose
for slave protocol is always to support the slave's vocation and to help
him focus on his journey, to mark him out as someone following a different
path from the usual."
Master Steve
Butchmann's SM Academy
CONDUCTS OF GOOD FORM
- First, be clean outside and inside, always
be prepared! Shower frequently, and generally be deodorant and cologne
free. For work necessities there are scent free deodorants available.
The preference for the natural scent of a hot, sweaty man in or out
of leathers is a sexual stimulant and aphrodisiac that has been with
mankind since the beginning of time. Colognes and deodorants mask the
natural and what most Leathermen consider erotic smells of the male
body and leather hides.
- Second, don't touch another individual without
their expressed permission. Don't tweak nipples, grab an ass, bare
or otherwise, fondle a basket or jock pouch or caress the leather or
muscles of someone you don't know or are passing in a crowd. It's non-consensual.
Included in this topic is touching another's hat, especially the more
formal motor cycle cap which is generally worn by Tops.
- And, third, know and adhere to the credo
of Safe, Sane and Consensual. Practice
SAFE sex and S&M. Play SANEly, free of drugs and alcohol and clear
of mind. Make sure all parties are CONSENSUALly involved in all activities
taking place.
Nothing in the protocol is intended to be
demeaning or humiliating, though it can seem that way from the outside.

APPEARANCE AND DRESS
- T-shirts, sleeveless t's or tank tops work for
outer wear, plain black, white or red fit most occasions as do leather
bar/event logo shirts. Some Leathermen adhere to an old tradition of
white t-shirts for boys and slaves while Daddies and Masters Wear Black.
- New or worn black or blue jeans are regulation
with or without chaps.
- Army fatigues, jean cutoffs or leather shorts
are all appropriate. Black combat boots, Doc Martins or black lace up
work boots are good foot wear for all Leather scenes.
- The masculine look of wearing boots (work, climbing,
or hiking) of any color with cut offs or shorts may elicit negative
personal bias among some Leather Men.
- The baggy and oversized clothes of many young
Men and boys, symbolic of today's raw unrestrained male energy may draw
reproach from some strict Leather enthusiasts.
- Never, ever wear underwear, even when allowed
to wear street clothing, this includes thongs and bikinis! Don't! If
something must be worn under jeans or shorts wear a jock, athletic or
leather.
- Chaps, bare-assed or with jeans should fit as
designed.
- Wearing a jacket, leather or Levi over a bare
chest or a harness is okay.
- If you're going to wear a cap it should preferably
be a baseball cap, black or black leather. Wear it brim forward. The
leather "rebel" boy hats are an "old Guard" influence.
- Wear your keys and hankies on the right -- flag
correctly and consistently.
- If you are a boy looking for a Daddy or a slave
looking for a Master dont wear a collar or a lock and chain around
your neck. Hanging these symbols of servitude and submission along with
keys on the right is OK.
- If you are a boy with a Daddy or currently the
slave property of a Master wear the Daddys or Masters collar
or lock and chain at all times especially when in a leather friendly
environment. These symbolize your commitment, submission and subjugation
to Your Daddy or Masters Will, for all to see.
- Never wear tennis shoes with leather anything.
- At Formal Leather Functions wear all black consisting
of black leather or black jeans. Where laws allow boys and slaves may
attend in a natural state (naked) with the minimum of leathers required
to satisfy local and state statutes.
- Shaved head, military cut, Mohawk, or moderate
to shoulder length hair, should always be neat and clean.
- In the confines of the Master's Home or the
Home of someone in the Master/slave Leather Community the slave is generally
kept naked.
- Any article of clothing or item Placed on a
slave shall remain there until the Master Removes it. A slave shall
never remove anything that the Master Places on the slave.

ATTITUDE, APPROACH AND DEPORTMENT
Your attitude should be one of submission, mentally,
physically, and verbally.
Standing with feet set at shoulder width and hands
held behind your back resting on the tail bone with chest out and head
up, communicates both submission and pride.
Be friendly and smile showing confidence and good
self image.
Use Sir when addressing all men, as
in Yes, Sir! and No, Sir. A bottom, boy, or slave
will quickly tell you not to call them, Sir! if that is a
title they are not entitled to. Remember in the "old Guard"
experienced and respected slaves were also called "sir".
When communicating with a Master, a slave will
answer questions directed to it with "Yes, SIR", "No, SIR",
or the shortest number of words needed to answer the question.
Approach a Top respectfully. If the Top is not
engaged with someone then simply begin the conversation with an Excuse
me, Sir... tell Him who you are and that you would like to submit
yourself to His Instruction. When approaching a known Master, it is accepted
protocol to begin by saying "Master, Sir!", then await His Acknowledgment.
Never interrupt a Top engaged in a scene or during
aftercare with His boy or slave.
Never join in a scene uninvited.
When accompanying a Daddy or Master in a bar or
at a gathering a boy or slave will walk to the Left Side of a Daddy or
Master and just behind but within His peripheral vision.
A slave stands no matter what the circumstance
when its Master stands.
At a restaurant, the slave must remain standing
at the table until Instructed to sit by i'ts Master. A slave should not
assume that it will order it's own food. At any time during the meal if
the Master stands, the slave must stand also and wait until the Master
Sits again and Instructs slave to sit unless Ordered to do otherwise.
The slave should never take a bite of food or sip of beverage until it's
Master and all other Masters Present have done so.
Whenever anyone touches, fondles or grabs a slave
in front of the slave's Master, the slave should not attempt to interfere
or avoid such attention but must defer any Comments or Action concerning
the activity to it's Master.
If a slave is not with it's Master and anyone touches,
fondles, grabs or attempts to Use the slave without the Owner's Permission
the slave will respectfully say, "Sir, this slave is the property
of Master _____, please obtain His Permission to use it! The slave
should not indicate interest or discouragement.
A slave refers to every man, regardless of age
or position as "Sir" at least once in every conversation.
In written communication a slave will sign it's
name always in lower case as well as use lower case when referring to
itself in any manner.
Like wise in written communication when referring
to a Master or any reference to a Master such as Him, His, You, Your etc.
a slave should Capitalize the first letter of the words
Always thank a Master for every Acknowledgment,
Instruction, Direction, Command and Correction of any aspect of the slave's
behavior or conduct (both Verbal and Physical).
Presenting
"Presenting" is an act and position(s)
taken by a slave to communicate "the strength of the slave and the
power of his obedience" as well as its submission to a Master. There
are four basic positions that are common throughout the Master/slave Community.
Masters Use a variety of Labels for these positions and may alter the
positions to Their Desires.
- On Knees: the slave kneels upright (not
sitting back on its heels), with knees spread shoulder wide, arms locked
behind its back, each hand clasping the opposite forearm (or wrist);
the chest is held forward, the head may be bowed or held up however
the eyes should be cast down. This position is sometimes called "Formal
Present" or "Full Present".
- Standing: the slave stands upright, with
feet spread shoulder wide, arms locked behind its back, each hand clasping
the opposite forearm (or wrist); the chest is held forward, the head
may be bowed or held up however the eyes should be cast down. This position
is sometimes called "Standing Formal Present" or "Standing
Present"
- One Knee: the slave kneels upright with
only the right knee on the ground while the left knee is bent; the chest
is held forward. This is the position used most while serving the Master
from the slave's hand (refreshments, the paper, etc.).
- Chest to Floor: the slave starts out
kneeling with both knees spread wider than shoulder width to allow for
maximum access to slave's ass hole and balls: hands are placed flat
on the floor in front of it with pointer fingers and thumbs touching
to form a triangle. The slave places its forehead into the triangle
bringing its chest to the floor. The slave's upper legs should be perfectly
vertical with its ass stuck up high. This position is sometimes called,
"Submission Present", Inspection Present or "Punishment
Present".
- Standing Relaxed: this is the same as
the Standing Present except that the hands are left open and the left
is placed into the right, above the ass crack. This position is sometimes
called, "At Ease", "Public Present" or "Parade
Rest".
